Connect a GoDaddy Domain to Cloudways Hosting

1. In Cloudways Domain Management, add the final domain to the correct WordPress application and make it primary when you are ready to launch.
2. Copy the current public IP shown for that Cloudways server.
3. In GoDaddy DNS, point the root A record to that IP.
4. Set the www record according to the current Cloudways instructions, commonly as a CNAME to the root domain.
5. Remove only conflicting website records after confirming that they are not used by email or another service.
6. Wait for DNS propagation, confirm that the domain reaches the correct application, and install SSL in Cloudways.

Cloudways does not provide ordinary nameservers for the domain, so DNS normally remains at GoDaddy or another DNS provider unless you add a separate DNS service. Do not change MX records when connecting only the website; those records control email delivery.
