You do not need to move to Hostinger, Bluehost, GoDaddy, or Cloudways if you already have compatible WordPress hosting. You can keep your current hosting company and install Site Launcher there.
- Create a fresh WordPress installation inside your current hosting account. If you already have a live website, use a staging site, temporary domain, or subdomain.
- If you plan to use an existing WordPress installation, first create and download a verified full backup of both the website files and database. Make sure you know how to restore it through your hosting provider.
- Sign in to the destination WordPress dashboard.
- Install and activate Site Launcher from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Enter the template license key and begin the guided import.
- After the import, sign in again if requested and review the pages, forms, menus, users, plugins, and settings.
- When ready, connect the final domain and update the WordPress URLs if your host does not do this automatically.
Important—Site Launcher installs a prepared complete website: importing it into an existing WordPress installation can replace or overwrite the current database, pages, posts, media, users, themes, plugins, settings, and other site information. Treat the destination as a new website installation. Do not run the import over a live or valuable website unless you are prepared to replace it and have a tested full backup.
Purchasing a second hosting account is not required. A clean WordPress installation or staging environment is the safest destination.
